Don't Talk and Target

Went to Target for 3 items, returned with 14. 14 of the most random items on Earth. I feel like the cashiers are past the urges of judgement. I was talking to my friend Tulip while I aimlessly wandered the aisles.

Here is my list of items. The first 3 are what I went in for:

1. Paper Towels
2. Cat Food
3. Glass cleaner
4. A Weekender Bag
5. Deodorant
6. A Watering Can (for decoration, I have no plants)
7. Tampons
8. A Wedding Card
9. Razors
10. Toothpaste
11. Double Stuf Oreos
12. Blueberry Pie Oreos (had to try)
13. Denture Cleaner (for my retainer)
24. 2 emergency ponchos (for NiBo and I on our Hawaiian hiking adventures)

Are you Ever Actually Done Cleaning?

My version of cleaning, I'm pretty sure, varies quite a bit from what a normal person would consider clean. Clean to me also changes on a daily basis. Can't see the stove because it's covered in delivery pizza boxes? Looks clean to me. Then there are other days where the sight of even the slightest bundle of receipts cleaned out from the bottom of my purse will send me into a frenzy.

I also suffer from, what I have self diagnosed as, Nocturnal Must-Clean-Now-itis. You know those moments on a Sunday evening, when you should be winding down, preparing yourself for the workweek that is coming, but instead you begin with folding the clean laundry that you should have folded from last weekend when you attempted laundry but didn't. Then next thing you know, you have this urge to go through your closet and make an even better mess in an attempt to 'organize'.

I have been on this cleaning roller coaster for about a month. It ultimately ends up in stacks of clothing that get moved from side to side of my bedroom as I continue to live around the ever growing mass of clothes that I don't even know where they came from.

A.Drama was in town over last weekend (more on that in the coming days) and we attempted to get organized, but instead fun prevailed (totally not complaining).

But here I am again, when I should be gathering myself for the work week ahead, I find myself sorting through stacks of junk mail into throw away and shred piles. I'm gearing up for a vacation too (more on that later as well) and I want to come home to a really really clean house.

Even with all that work though, are you ever actually done cleaning?

3 Years ago today

Thanks to a little app called timehop, your past social media posts are only a finger tap away. Funny that this one popped into my feed today.

Exactly three years ago an overly optimistic October Heather, signed April Heather up for a race two races. A 5k Friday night race and an exhausting 10k race Saturday morning bright and early.

You can read about how that went with the posts titled: Dear October Heather and one gem titled 9.2 Miles in 48 hours.

I say funny this popped up today because, well the thought had crossed my mind to do something similar, only instead of April the race would be in January! I do have the fact that weather will be much more on my side here in Arizona over the winter than it would have been back in Illinois over the winter (which was my lazy excuse last time) I've been throwing the idea around of starting to run, I'm not 100% feeling the snug clothes and I'm past the point of being able to say oh I just moved it was stressful, that's why I eat like crap and never go to the gym.

At the very least I will sign up for the 5k race, stay tuned. I might do something stupid like sign up for the 2nd day race too. You just never can tell here at North of 10th can you?! Also I need some way to kick my dad's butt on the Fitbit steps, that man is a beast! Anyone else fitbit? Oh and that #195 days.. it's 100 days less to prepare as of today #95days #DoubleEek

Dust Storm Warning... For Realz this Time

I was sitting there minding my own business when the emergency alert tone rings loudly from my phone, Dust Storm Warning! I must say this alert is much like a tornado warning back home, the first thing you do before seeking shelter is to run outside and look in the sky! haha!

Photo: AZ Central facebook page

I didn't take the above picture, I stole it from the local news facebook page but there was no way I could get that perspective from my level.

Here's what it looked like approaching from my complex, looks pretty wicked if you ask me! Then all of a sudden the sky turned very dark and the winds picked up out of nowhere! My friend Tulip lives out by the mountain and she has some wicked pics from there, she has more open area on the other side of her so it was way worse for her. The sky just turned a dark red, it looked like the apocalypse had arrived!

Some of my other friends who live across the metro area got some nice rain downpours... no such luck for me! Just a couple sprinkles apparently as evident by the horrendous dirty spots all over my car! I long for a good summer thunderstorm, add that to the list of things I miss about Illinois! I think I'll get over it when winter rolls around.

Thankfully I had been home for a good amount of time for this dust storm. I hope the next time one rolls through I'm not out on the road! How's your weather been so far this summer!?

A Tale of Two Paintings

Sorry this picture is a little blurry but it's important for the story. This story begins way back in 2006. I had just moved into my new two bedroom apartment and needed some art for the walls. Being a poor college student I couldn't afford much. Please also note this was pre-Pinterest, so this is a completely original art project.

The colors of the room were black and white, and it was a big wall to fill. Enter the arts and crafts project. I went to Michael's and bought two larger canvas boards and a smaller one, add to that purchase some black spray paint, a couple sponge brushes and some white paint and you have yourself a project. The abstract look of my art was just to fill some wall space on the cheap.

Fast forward to last week. I had left these 'paintings' behind since I no longer had the color scheme to match them. I told Gma she could throw the away since they cost like $30 to make. Mom calls me last week to tell me this little story. She said that Gma had been outside dusting them off when a lady was out jogging and stopped her and told her they were so beautiful and she would offer $50 a piece for them. Gma thanked her for the offer but said she would have to check with me. When mom told me that I said "ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!" She said no, and that the lady said she would be back when she had the chance. Please note: If someone ever offers $50 for a finger painting of mine, you sell it on the spot and offer to carry it to the car!

I then get a text from mom saying the lady came back and I have $100 on the way. Hooray!! What a very random event, I had to share. I feel kinda bad for taking that lady's money, but oh well! She thought it was worth it! I told Gma I would teach her my artful ways and we can make a killing on splatter painting!

The Adventure Begins

The great trek west kicked off Wednesday. Mom and I traveled via plane to the Wild Wild West (Arizona) Our main objective was to find me a place to live! The good news is..... it was a success! I found a very nice two bedroom condo with a garage! So you know what that means... the motorcycle is coming!

Our trip was not without some drama, of the plan variety. Our flight #1 IL to Dallas was fine, flight #2 was delayed an hour due to something with the front tire, which had to be changed (we literally could feel them jacking up the plane to change the tire) but we finally made it to sunny AZ.

My condo was found completely by accident. I was already to sign for another one when a friend of my moms called. She said she had just happened to be talking to some of the ladies at her water aerobics class about the weather and mentioned some of her friends from IL were in town looking for a condo. One of the ladies said, "oh well I have a condo for rent" and the rest was history! Super cute place, new carpet was just put in and it looks great! Very quiet, 2 pools and lots of trees and green! It is perfect!

We had several dinner outings with friends. One of the places we went to served Watermelon Iced Tea! Um Delish! Another place had a fabulous mountain view from the patio.

While we were there, Phoenix broke several record highs. The temperature was in the high 80's, something we haven't seen for months! While on our adventure we checked out IKEA and the local Harley Shop (obvs) Then it was time to head back home.

Flight #3 from Phoenix was delayed 2 hours due to a left engine noise. We were already pulled away from the gate, and when the pilot turned the engines on there was a very loud, very noticeable banging noise. Luckily the ground and flight crews notified the pilots, who then thought it would be a good idea to return to the gate and have it checked out. Then we actually had to get off the plane again. So 2 hour delay when you are catching your next flight an hour after your plane is supposed to arrive equals missed connection. We were able to get on the last flight for IL but it didn't leave until 8pm. So we got to hang out for about 5 hours at the Dallas airport. Then flight #4 from Dallas to IL was delayed about 20 minutes for some air speed tube that needed to let the glue dry after they fixed it. Actual arrival time back in IL was 10:40 pm (which should have been 4pm) Needless to say it was a less than perfect flying experience. 3/4 plans had maintenance issues, but we made it back in one piece.

Fast forward a bit today and I wake up to a Winter Storm Warning for 5-7" of snow with ice. We ended up getting out of work an hour and a half early due to the weather. Boooo Illinois (the "s" is silent btw)

Well next step in the adventure is the packing/shipping. Movers come Saturday (and I'm kinda freaking out) Shizz is getting realz y'all..

The Topic of Conversation Lately

Oddly there has been much conversation about my motorcycle lately. I can't very well have a blog name of 'Easy Rider' and be without can I?

I've heard everything from "but your a girl" to "it's a big city" as to why I shouldn't take my motorcycle with me. While I have thought much about it myself, it's amazing how much other people have thought about it too.

The great company I work for will pay to ship my bike, so of course I'll take it. My thought on this initially is it will be great for a commute, it's literally like 300 days of sunshine year round and if nothing else, it might be a better market to sell it out there.

This brings us to the question where will I keep it? Not having a house in this case will be a downfall. Several people have said it will get stolen (ok well I have insurance, and also hope I find a place in a neighborhood that won't steal my bike) I'm hoping to find an apartment or condo with a garage then that problem is solved.

Will I ride it much at first? Well honestly probably not, I'd like to get the lay of the land before I venture out on the bike (which I will do at some point) but how freakin sweet would it be to ride a motorcycle across the Hoover Dam or around the Grand Canyon?!

My bike is just one of those things no matter what, even though I've contemplated it, I just can't bring myself to get rid of it. It means so much more to me than just a mode of transportation. There is something uniquely interesting about a girl who can ride a motorcycle and it's just become part of my identity. I hope it can be used as a mode of introduction as well, there are about four or five Harley dealers in the great Phoenix area all with HOG chapters, which would be a good way to meet new people.

A Teenage Crush Gone

Paul Walker was one of my very first Eye Candy subjects on my blog. He was also my very first crush, like cut out every picture of him from my Bop magazine and taped them all to my wall. I fell in love with him in Meet the Deedles back in 1998.  Then again in Varsity Blues, and pretty much every movie he's ever been in.

Then tonight the breaking news was that Paul Walker, age 40, had passed away in car accident. My childhood crush has died, it's very very sad.

I cannot believe that he is 40, that makes me feel old. I'm too young to lose my childhood crush! Just another reminder that life is short and can change in an instant. RIP Paul Walker :(

The First Snow

If you follow from a warmer climate you might be surprised to know that here in Central Illinois we've already had our first snow. Now the old wives day that the day of the first snow that you can track a cat, that is how many snow's you will have that winter, though technically it's not even winter yet so I wonder if this will hold true? But according to this we will have 11 snows. OL has already marked her calendar to keep track, this may be the first year that the 'track a cat' part hasn't been disputed. I'm can promise you can track a cat because I'm pretty sure there was a creature, not a cat, that took up residence on our porch last night, I'm guessing it was a raccoon or an opossum.

I'm especially happy that our furnace was finally fixed yesterday too, just in time for the first snow. We have radiators throughout our house and there was a malfunction with a water valve and the part was on order for over a week, luckily I don't mind sleeping a little cold. I made sure to bundle up in my sweatpants and a couple blankets. I actually had to shed some layers last night! Today I'm thankful for warmth and heating. Keep warm my fellow Illinoisans!

Update: it appears I spoke too soon, our furnace is out again, water all over the basement, I'm in for another cold night!

Digital Dilemma

I've been storing all my pictures on my external hard drive that I've had for several years. I've been good about keeping all my pictures in order by year and grouping them in sub folders by event. Then the other day I went to back up my pictures from the Notre Dame game and got an error. WTF?!

It had occurred to me that this could happen but I was really prepared for it and now I'm kind of at a loss.

Luckily my friend at work is a computer guru and was able to back up my photos from 2006-2012. The 2013 folder was corrupt and unable to be accessed, which in this case is kind of the best outcome.

So now I'm trying to figure out all the pictures I could have possibly taken this year. Luckily I'm always kind of hesitant to delete the pictures off my SD card once they are backed up so I do have most of everything I've done this year saved. Luckily I have the blog to go back and figure out what I've done and try to figure out which pictures may have been lost.

The thing with such easy access to digital photography images is that we take crap tons of pictures and can just easily delete the bad ones later, so we tend to have an over abundance of pictures. Back in the day of film we were more diligent with our 24 pictures on the roll, knowing we had to carefully select which images we wanted to capture. Sometimes I myself even get too caught up in wanting to take great pictures to have to look back on that I forget to actually enjoy the subject matter.

So what to do now. Obviously I'm going to need to get another external hard drive because it wasn't only pictures that was on it. I used it to back up tax documents and my music along with many other things. I didn't double back up lately because I had too much faith in the electronic box storing all my things.

I had mentioned before that I wanted to start making scrapbooks by year using a photo website, which I will now definitely make a priority. But I also need to actually start printing off my pictures. I have tons of pictures in boxes from middle school and high school, then they all just drop off because digital cameras came about and there was no need to have the prints in order to share and see them.

I'm a little bummed, but glad I didn't lose all of them, now I will be extra careful of my pictures and make sure I have them in more than one place.

Tis The Season.... Wait What?

Please do not adjust your computer screen, that is in fact snow on our back porch. I was just thinking earlier tonight that it's that time of year where it's only 8:30, already dark and I'm ready for bed. Don't get me wrong, Fall is my favorite time of year and I love the crisp cool air and the leaves floating through the breeze, but I am not ready for October snow, it can come in due time, just not yet.

Have a cozy evening.

Songs I Can't Get Out of My Head

I can't get these two songs out of my head, they are so freakin catchy.

This first song is NiBo's fault, he showed it to me and I can't get it unstuck. Watch the video then you will find the funny in the accompanying photo from our Chicago trip.

This next song won't stop playing on the radio and the infectious chorus remains stuck in my head too.

You're welcome, I hope they are stuck in your head now too. It's only proper you pass them along and get it stuck in someone else's head.

Happy Monday!

Not Everything About Fall is Good

I give you exhibit A... Pumpkin Spice m&m's. Horrible, disgusting, yuck, and any other synonym you can come up with for gross. They taste like gingerbread pumpkin or some combination of both. Not everything needs to be pumpkin-ized in the Fall. (although our pumpkin pedicure was amazeballs)

Exhibit B.... the white chocolate Candy corn m&m's. While they are not my favorite their taste far out weighs the nasty pumpkin spice. If you like white chocolate I'd say give it a try.

I think I shall make it my Fall mission to try anything pumpkin that I come in contact with.

So far (and it's not even Fall yet) I have tried:
 - Pumpkin Spice Latte from McDs (I took one sip. I don't like coffee) = No
 - Cinnamon Pumpkin Spice Pedicure = Yes, Awesome!
 - Pumpkin Spice M&M's = vomit. yuck. No.

In Case You Missed It

It was more awkward than Miley Cyrus twerking at the VMA's....

While enjoying my Saturday night prime time football game of Notre Dame at Michigan, it took a turn for the awkward when half time rolled around. Someone at ESPN thought it would be a good idea to bring Michigan native Marshall Mathers aka Eminem onto the broadcast.... the following is what occurred. Viewer discretion is advised...

My Etsy Experiences

Etsy.com is a wonderful website where people with much more talent than I make and sell homemade items, jewelry and all kinds of pretty things. I keep trying to think of something I could make on Etsy that people would want to buy... but I digress.

Have you ever purchased something on Etsy? Was it good or a bad experience? Well I would like to tell you about my two experiences from Etsy... two very different tales.

My first purchase was a handmade ring I purchased it April 22, 2012 and two days later the website said it had shipped. Got my ring loved it, no problems.

My second purchase I have still yet to receive. It was purchased way back when on November 21, 2012. Yes 2012. The shop states it could be up to 3 months for order to be completed, and mine was around the Thanksgiving/Christmas holiday, but I didn't think it would take 9 months to get an order.

So as to not be pushy, I emailed a few times to check on the status.

Jan 5th 2013- I emailed to check
Jan 6th- response- holiday time longer wait

March 9th- I emailed to check
March 10th- response- seller had a sudden death in family and has been out, apologized for delay
March 10th- I responded sorry for the loss, take your time.

May 13th- I emailed to check again. No response.

June 17th- I emailed to check again
June 21st- response- apparently she shipped it a long time ago it should have arrived by now, she has no way to track it blah blah.Said she will make me a new one at no charge and have it completed/shipped in a week.

Aug 28th- I emailed to check again. No response.

Now magically as of August 30th it shows my order has shipped. I'm kinda thinking she never sent the original one and has just now sent me my clutch. I had to pre-pay for this way back in November when I placed the order.

So now I wait to see if it actually arrives. I feel like she wasn't honest in her responses  when she did respond, but maybe she was telling the truth. Either way, I'm still waiting for my clutch.

Dear October Heather,

Hi, it's me April Heather. First I would like to commend you on your enthusiasm and ambition, I realize October was 192 days ago. The seasons were changing, the pretty leaves and crisp breeze must have swept you away to another world, a world full of optimism and confidence, and apparently a foresight that I don't have.

I'm sure you had noticed the days getting shorter, but maybe you forgot to think about the fact that they get even shorter and the whole daylight savings time thing always screws everything up. And as the people on Game of Thrones say a lot.... 'winters coming' but maybe you were distracted by the pretty leaves.

But for reals October Heather, what the f*@# were you thinking when you signed up for TWO races that are now 2 days away. Clearly you didn't think about the cold winter months that would have to be spent doing something other than sitting on your bottom. Kudos to you for having a little faith, but did you forget our procrastinating tendencies? I guess you got caught up in the hype, the free tshirts and finisher medals. It sounded like a good idea at the time, but in hindsight a 5K would have probably sufficed and got your point across, no need to add the mini I-challenge to the mix (you just wanted a 3rd medal didn't you?!) which added a 10K. 3.2 sounded too easy huh.... sure add another 6.

Signed,
HOLY S***.
   - April Heather

I don't want to die. But let's think about this for a second, several times before I have signed up for races with little no prior workouts, these do include a 5k and a 10k, and that 10k course is brutal, it's pretty much a vertical climb up Mt Everest. But I didn't die during those events, and I won't die this weekend. I don't think this is what they had in mind when they say couch to 5k, I thought long and hard about actually not doing it. I've been wanting to get my "running" career off and going here for awhile, better late than never? If you aren't first your last? Slow and steady wins the race? I have scoured the FAQ's on the marathons website and they allow walkers in all races except the full marathon!! Whew... at least I can walk if I have to without getting evil looks. My two goals are to not be last, and to do better than my last times.

Here are the last times I have for races I've done, brace yourself (caution these are nowhere near world record times)

5k:  50:33.8
10K: 1:49:47

omg, I am hyperventilating already.

Working for the Man

I read an article on CNN the other day...

"The average 25-year-old has already worked 6.3 jobs between the ages of 18 and 25, according to a recent study by the Labor Department."  - from the article found here

Say what?!
If you click the picture of the poor sap who is smiling like an idiot, and click through the other sob stories of the millennial's who have worked several jobs. You know what? Shut up!! Until the age of 26 you can be under your parent's medical insurance so you don't need a full time job, and quit your whining you got to experience a whole bunch of semi-fun jobs. Some of the interviewed millennial's [a millennial is also know as generation Y, Google it] go on to brag about their success in starting new businesses for themselves.

I don't see what is wrong with this. You worked a whole bunch of jobs yes some crap but you got to experiment with what you liked and what you didn't like. The article talks about all this job-hopping going on. I know part-time jobs are jobs, but do we really consider them jobs? I mean if a person has like 8 full time career worthy jobs, that is one thing, but if you have 6 different part time jobs does that really count?

Anywho...
This got me thinking about how many jobs I have had. The only real, aka full-time-with-benefits-job, I've ever had is my current job at the insurance company. I've been there 6 long years in May, but maybe you'd be interested in my other jobs... you know before I started working for the man.

Job #1- The Greenhouse and Nursery in my small town. This was my very first job at the ripe old age of 15, I even had to get a work permit from the school so I could work before I was 16. My main job here was watering the plants, planting. I went on a few landscape jobs with the guys and laid sod, got your Christmas tree all cut and in a stand during the holidays, put together grave blankets and wreaths. My very least favorite job was bringing the mums up from the back on the giant skyscraper carts. SUCKED! Pros of this job, I got to work with my friends, I was outside all summer and though it sucked at the time (or so I thought) there are some days I wouldn't mind going back to those summers in the sun. Time at this job 2 years.

Job #2- The Drycleaner, in TWO towns.. At this job I basically checked in all your dryclean only clothes, sorted the laundry to be sent over to the 2nd location in the next small town over, which housed all the laundry equipment. I'd work here after school and weekends. Then when A.Drama started working there too she took over the main small town location and I would work in the next town over location after I was done at school (college school) I like this job because basically all I ever did was check stuff in. I would press the pants, the pleats suck. I'd put together orders and run the cash register. When I was in the next town over I got to press the laundered startched dress shirts, I will be honest, I loved this part of the job. We had like 3 different machines that basically did everything for you, but I loved putting the shirts on the machines, fun stuff. Then I got downsized. Time at this job 2 years

- after a very very short 1-2 month break, this has been my only unemployed time since I was 15 years old

Job #3 I worked at Michael's in the big city for one day. Hated it and I still lived at home to boot and driving 35 mins after working to 10-11pm just wasn't cutting it when I had to get up and be at school again in the morning. Time at this job 5 hours.

Job #4- an open MRI facility. LOVED LOVED LOVED this job!! I miss it everyday. Literally every single day. An open MRI is great for people who are claustrophobic (since it's open on the sides) and also for larger patients who might not otherwise fit into the smaller tube style MRI's at the hospitals. This job was perfect, I'd come to work after my classes, I was living in the big city at this point which made things easier. There were 5 people total in the office, I was the late night receptionist checking people in since we were open until 7 for your convenience. My boss was the most amazing person ever and my co-workers were the bomb-diggity. I worked next door to China King and The Great Harvest Bread company, can we say ideal? We played jokes on each other and everyone loved each other (I still keep in contact with everyone) Did I mention that my boss was the most amazing person ever?! When we didn't have patients there may have been Uno tournaments. Then I got downsized, I stopped working on a Friday and started the next job on Monday. I would have worked there forever :( Time at this job 2 years

The whole crew plus the gals and doc from the dermatologists office 2 doors down
We got a singing telegram for my boss, that's how awesome she is.

Job #5- The Insurance company, nuff said. Time at this job 6 years and counting

Job #5.5- Bath and Body Works. My first and only retail job. I worked here for the holiday season, got some sweet discounts. It honestly wasn't that bad, but going to school full-time in the evenings, working full-time at the insurance company it was just too much at the time.

Well I'm below the average it appears, and really I think the current full time job with benefits and a retirement plan is the only one that really really counts. How do you stack up on jobs so far?

In a Man's World

I am kinda sorta looking at new cars. I've had Simon for about 6 years now and we're up to about 140k, so it's not unreasonable that a new car is on the brain. Moreso I just want something new. Every so often (like every 6 months it seems) I think I want a new car, I always talk myself out if, but none the less we do this dance. Research, research, research some more, and then stop short of actually test driving anything, because at this point I have talked myself out of it and don't want to fall in love with anything. That all changed yesterday....

Remember I went to the car show? I saw all those new cars and that new car smell got stuck in my nose. It was like a drug, I need that smell I thought to myself. So yesterday I did the unthinkable.... I went to a dealership for a test drive.... BY MYSELF! Holy moly.

I should preface this story with the fact that I am a research-aholic. I check Edmunds, consumer reports, blogs, forums, anywhere you can think of to see what others think of the vehicle I am researching at the time. Working in a automobile industry I see the values of cars everyday. I checked NADA and even KBB and I knew where my car was valued at. I had checked the rates in the credit union, and I knew what I wanted my payments to be, so I knew about where I needed to be with the amount I finance. So to the dealership I went...

I was test driving the new Chevy Cruze. Which is nice, it's super fancy on the inside with touchscreen navigation/satellite radio, push button start, heated seats, remote start and on and on and on. It's smaller than my car though, and I rather enjoy my space. So after the test drive, while impressed with the looks, not a huge fan of the space issue, and the steering wheel doesn't telescope or move as much as I would have liked for my height and driving position. But humor me with your numbers Mr. Salesman.

While on the test drive the appraiser was looking at my car. Also Mr. Salepeople...know your audience. I realize a young female walking into the showroom alone would normally be a bulls-eye and you can pull out all your "girl" tricks. But sir, when I begin chatting you about the Corvette's in the showroom and inquire about the new Stingray, I feel that should have been a heads up. Also while on the test drive as I'm asking about other vehicles, I'd think you'd be aware that while not an expert, I am not dumb when it comes to automobiles.  Keep in mind reader that this was the first car I have test drove, even if I were in love with this car, I would at least need to test drive a competitor just so I don't get large purchase Heather buyers remorse which often accompanies large purchases (aka anything over $100 I analyze and do the whole, is this a want or a need chat).

So.. time to talk basic numbers. Granted I know that my car has high miles, but having checked my sources I know what my car is worth. Your low ball offer of $2500 was an insult, telling me that is your best offer, leads me to believe that is your best offer. So... no go dear sir. My brain is on shutdown, I would like to go now.

After that offer, I did the whole need vs want conversation on the drive home. I think I'm going to stick with good ole Simon for as long as I can (which was my original plan when purchasing him, so why did I even dream I needed a new car) But I did take this as a great learning experience. Why do car purchases have to be who is the best negotiator? Why do you say that is your best offer when 1-I told you what I wanted for my car, then seem confused when I'm not pleased. 2-You could have "got me close" to what I was looking for but I "didn't want to deal" It's a confusing thing looking at cars. Why do we have to go through this exhausting ritual. Blah, it makes me never want to buy a new car. But like I said, I've learned something and will be better prepared when I really am ready to buy. And just because I go in alone, doesn't mean I should be treated any different, especially when I express that I'm not illiterate when it comes to cars, show a girl at least a little respect!
