Has anyone else noticed that twenty-twelve is half over?! That means it's been six months since January.
3,864 hours
231,840 minutes
161 days
..and I feel I have accomplished nothing. The only big thing of note I can come up with is making a small step towards change. I posted for a new job in my unit and got it. I spent three months in training which totally drained me of wanting to do much else other than cope with the self induced stress that came from being a new person and not knowing what I was doing. It's getting better but I'm still clearly the new person and I don't like being new.
I have been a terrible blogger too, only 24 posts in 161 days?! Terrible, and one of my 2012 resolutions was to blog more. I had 122 posts last year, I've got time to get that one done. Looking back at the beginning of the year I was slightly on top of it, going to the gym and working with a trainer. That all stopped when I started getting stressed with new job and got lazy. I signed up for the Warrior Dash in December and will probably die Saturday.
The saddest part is I have no excuses. Not a one, just me. I got in the way. I'm scared to try new things and I'm unmotivatedly lazy. I'm trying to fix it but just can't seem to get over the hump.
But Summer is coming and I'm bound and determined to make a good fun one. June 20th is the official start to summer, that's 103 days until Fall. I'm in desperate need of getting out of my funk, although I don't feel as much in a rut as I have in the past, it's still a looming feeling.
I'm working on a Summer Bucket List with the main goal of getting myself out of the house and changing stuff up. I started with changing the blog design, I like it, makes it feel a new. I'm thinking of changing my hair up too I think it will help to look in the mirror and there be a physical change looking back.
Any suggestions for a Summer activity to add to the list, what are some of your Summer bucket list items?

The Week With No Internet
... was really hard. Do you know how much you use the internet for in everyday life? It all started Monday, I came home to an obnoxious blinking red light on the model... uh oh. Turns out it would be off until Friday. Oh.crap. Granted I did have my phone but here in the small town we don't have that 3G/4G you city folk got going so I might as well have been watching the grass grow as long as it took to load a single page.
Some mind thoughts that occurred and ended up requiring the internet...
*I had been pondering the notion of getting a new tv, was going to research for the best price. No internet. What do you do? Use work intenet briefly research buy new TV on a whim. = I have a new TV with no chicken pox spots like my old one. (google DLP white dots and you'll see what I had considered able to put up with)
*I wonder what the weather is going to be like this week. No weather.com, what do you do? Oh yeah those newspaper things have weather in them.
*Oh well I see it's time for the Victoria's Secret semi-annual sale, I wonder what kind of things I can find there, not in stores yet, better check online. Oh.crap. This thing called United States Postal Service delivered a catalog to my door.
*I wonder what's going on with Pioneer Woman or what's The Mrs or Big Boca Bob up to? Oh.right. Guess I'll have to catch up later.. or at work.
*I usually let Pandora radio lull me to sleep, no internet :( guess I'll have to use my iPod.
*Hmm I should read more, I wonder what books are new for my Nook... oh nevermind.
*I have a good blog in my head I'll have to get that done tonight... oh wait. It'll have to wait too.
*What else is that actor in, I'll have to IMDB.com it... wah!! Now I'll never know where I know him from.
Has the internet ruined us? I didn't have internet growing up as a kid, we managed to keep ourselves occupied, no wonder kids these days have ADD. It was a hard week to get through, but I made it. I think I'd be up for the challenge another time. So take time and thank your internet tonight, you never know when you might be without it for a few days.

A Four Day Weekend Gone too Soon
A four day weekend should be required of all americans once a month, why is it not?
Friday saw an awesome band, they are my new favorite of the moment. They are called Red Wanting Blue. I can't stop listening to them.
Saturday I was a bum, it was great.
Sunday I was a morning bum, then went to the Drive In and saw a double feature. Avengers (again) and Battleship. It was kinda lame.
Monday, sigh. The last day of this glorious break from real life/work. Went to the parade/Memorial Day service in the morning. Then took the bike out for about 140+ miles today. It was really hot and the wind picked up. I burned the tops of my hands, and man does that kinda hurt. Then we grilled this evening. I'm really sad to have to go back to work :/ Hope everyone had a great weekend and enjoyed the great weather!

Busy Busy
Hello there friends.
May has been a hip-happening kind of month. I'm back from the training unit and settling into my new job, still learning, I'm tired of learning new things, but I know it's necessary. I've been managing to find things to do to counter act the boringness and mind numbingness of training.
This past weekend I went camping and boating with some friends. I managed to slightly lessen the paleness of my albino skin, we weren't out too long and believe me I applied sunblock multiple times.
I also had the great misfourtune of swimsuit shopping. I still haven't given up, but was quite disheartened when out on the search. I have discovered that I am slightly misshapen when it comes to swimsuits. I'm too long to be fully covered with the tankini style suits and have yet to find a one piece that fits me that doesn't look like a tent. Is there really no happy medium? Swimsuits just really don't hide a whole lot and have managed to avoid water activities up until this point, but who can turn down boating? So alas, this week I will once again try to hold my head up high, and hope I find something that's cute and functional.... riiiight. Here's hoping.

Eric Church
Well hello there friends. It's been awhile since we've chatted. Pardon my absence, I haven't done anything fun for many moons. But alas! The drought is over. And I even have my next couple saturdays filled with fun!
Last night we headed out to see the AMAZING Eric Church with Brantley Gilbert and Blackberry Smoke! If you don't like Eric Church we can't be friends... for real. I've seen Eric three times now the first time being a really small venue when he was first starting out and fell in love with his on stage energy and of course his music!
This concert sold out in 24 minutes. We had floor seats. I'm too old for floor seats. I enjoy my own personal space bubble to not be intruded upon by drunken country folk with their beer ever so close to spilling down my back. I also enjoy not having fat man arm pit in my face as they are raising their arm to say rock on. I'd also prefer not to bear witness to three tweens having a mini photo shoot in front of my face, seriously how many fishy face this is me in the front row pics do you need for your facebook profile?! There were a few tussles of drunk men, and a girl passed out cold before the concert even started..life on the floor.
But alas I survived the first two acts and a few songs of Eric before my I don't feel comfortable being this close to the people next to me patience was gone and moved back to where a could raise or lower my hands. and apparently after I departed for cooler air I missed the puking ralley that happened just feet from where I had been standing. No thank you. No more floor, I will gladly take a seat and enjoy from afar.
But if you have like Eric Church I highly recommend checking him out. Amazing show!

Holy Moly It's April Already
My appologies for my absence, who knew how easy lazy is. To be honest tonight is the first time in awhile that I have really just sat down and surfed or turned on the tv in a bit. Learning new things is slightly stressful and training for my new job has put me out of my comfort zone and made me lazy when I get home. I know it's good for me but that doesn't mean I like it. Most of my stress is self enduced. I dislike not knowing what I'm doing starting out and I question myself a lot. But the only good way to learn is to just do it, which is what we are doing tomorrow, putting everything I've learned out there to the public.
So that's what's been going on in my neck of the woods, not a whole lot.

Pinch Me I Must Be Dreaming
Does the temperature really read 68 degrees at 9:30 at night?! While global warming does seem problematic to the future of the planet, I'm totally cool with it. I know this won't last and snow could come one last time but I shall enjoy it all the same.
It was so nice to get the bike out this weekend. Just the few months it was away I had forgotten how freeing and relaxing the bike is. It really is great therapy and allows you to just clear your mind of all the stress and for a little while just forget about everything. It's still hard for me to get the compliments of me, a girl, having a motorcycle. I'm usually really hard on myself and quick to dismiss compliments, but its really hard to ignore them about me and my bike. I've had so many people tell me how awesome it is that I ride and having the bike has helped me a little bit with taking compliments and being a little more confident in myself and to just believe (my 2012 word) in myself.
Having a new job with new things to learn I find myself in a spot I haven't been in for a very long time. I'm out of my normal routine, I don't know what I'm doing yet, I'm surrounded by a completely different group of people that I don't know and I won't lie, it's been rough. The training regime at work isn't the most thought out plan and all the unknowns is stressing me out. I find myself questioning whether or not I made the right decision and was it worth all this extra work and stress that I put on myself. I miss my everyday peeps (this means you OL) just knowing they were a stones throw away was enough to ease my nerves when anything came up. I know they are only and IM or email, or two floors down but it's enough away to make me feel disconnected. I try to make daily appearance whether or not they are appreciated ;)
I'm glad though. I needed change in the worst way. I've said from the beginning this is the year I put myself first and work on me for a change. Although it may seem like I've flaked on my fitness goals, I haven't. February was the black hole of despair and sickness, we're going to forget it happened and move forward. You'll notice the Warrior Dash countdown is still going strong over there to the right, 94 days and counting. June is my looming deadline. I want to be shaped up for vacation and beaches and kick some ace in the dash. A lot can happen in a few months and I hope a lot does. Spring is a time for renewal and this warm weather is getting me motivated to get out and about. So here's to the 70's in March, motorcycles and more motivation.

March 6th Random Thoughts
As I'm sitting here waiting for my NyQuil coma to kick in, here's the random thoughts going through my head.
- Happy 100th Birthday Oreo's! Did anyone else celebrate with a snack size mcflurry? (don't judge it was in celebration)
- It was going to be a snack blizzard but our stupid DQ makes it's own hours apparently.. seriously WTF?!
- Where does so much snot come from? My nose has been a snot factory in overdive the past few days.
- I was bummed I didn't feel well enough to run in the 5k over the weekend. BWurm ran it in 23 minutes and was complaining prior that he hadn't run in a few days... really?! You will not be my running partner anytime soon there buddy.
- I wish NyQuil was instantaneous
- Any kind of get better medicine in liquid form looks so scary and never tastes quite as bad as you remember.
- seriously I still cannot walk into the bathroom and even glance in the general direction of the mirror without the light on....still.
- Kleenex Cold Touch tissures are super amazing, how do they do that?
- I started a new job on Monday... well training for a new job. It's very boreing. It's all web-based, it's a very quiet room with everyone listening to their training on headphones not really talking.
- Blowing your nose in a silent room is quite embarassing.
- They announced Friday afternoon that Friday was my last day.
- I haven't watch TV for two days. I didn't even turn the TV on tonight.
- I'm really glad we have DVR's... what would we do with out them?
- I don't wear a watch anymore, I miss my watch, it needs a new battery. Maybe I'll fix it and start wearing my watch again.
- I unsubscribed to numerous unnecessary newsletters I was receiving. I hope that will declutter my inbox a bit, I never read them anyway.
- Is it winter or spring?
- time changes this weekend, Spring Forward! :)
- I've been enjoying my Nook. It's sparked my reading interest again.
- Tomorrow is 'Dip Day' in the training unit where I am currently implanted. I'm making BLT Dip, do you have a favorite dip?
- Tomorrow is yoga, I'm excited for that. Except for the stupid girl that was beside me last time, I'm going to try to not sit by her this time.
- I got my hair cut. You can't tell, it was just a trim. I feel better though. My hair has gotten really long, I like!
- 87 Days until I get 15 days of vacation days added (Happy 5 year anniversary at SF to me!)
- I am in love with Savannah, Georiga. I want to live there and explore.
- I watched Oprah's next chapter with Paula Deen, her accent reminds me of my Grandma Min, who isn't my grandma at all. I'll tell you about Grandma Min later this week stay tuned!
- Can you become slightly germaphobic out of nowhere as you age? I cannot touch the door handle in public bathrooms or work anymore without a paper towel in hand. Weird I know.
- The 100th Anniversary of the Titanic is this year. In rememberence I will be seeing Titanic and cry...... don't let go Jack!
- Oreos? Titanic? What else happened 100 years ago?
- How strict do you think the dosage for NyQuil is, double shot anyone?
Thanks for tuning in. This concludes the random stream of thoughts from inside my brain for tonight. Come back real soon, ya hear?
